Lumber Tycoon 2 wood values
Phantom Wood is worth the most, then Frost Wood.
A plank of Phantom Wood sells for $420 a unit and Frost Wood for $106; the best wood that grows all year after those two, Gold Wood, fetches $36. Phantom Wood grows only in the Lone Cave and can only be cut with the End Times Axe. Frost Wood grows on Taiga Peak and every axe except the Candy Cane Axe cuts it, the Frost Axe fastest.

Mill it before you sell it
For every wood in the table the plank price is well above the log price: an Oak plank sells for about 3 times its log, a Birch plank 7 times. Running logs through a sawmill before the drop-off is the cheapest way to earn more from the same trees. Apart from buying money with Robux, selling wood is how you earn: there are no codes for free money.
The rare and seasonal woods
- Phantom Wood
- In the Lone Cave; only the End Times Axe cuts it (see the axe table). Its hardness is 80,000,000, and the End Times Axe hits it for 10,000,000 a swing.
- Frost Wood
- Taiga Peak. Frost Axe is the specialist axe for it.
- Spooky Wood
- Around the map; very rare spawn chance. Only spawns during October.
- Sinister Wood
- Around the map; extraordinarily rare spawn chance. 100x rarer than Spook. Only spawns during October.
- Blue Spruce
- Main Biome and Taiga; uncommon spawn chance. Only spawns during Winter.
Oak or Elm?
Two woods are easy to mix up. The wiki keeps Elm Wood and Oak Wood apart, but Elm shows up in the game under the name Oak. Elm sells for $6 a plank and grows across the Main Biome, Cherry Meadow, Tropics, Safari; Oak Wood, which grows back in about 3 minutes, sells for $10. Both are cheap starter woods; Birch is the usual first step up at $15.
