The Lumber Tycoon 2 map
You start in the Main Biome; the bridge, dynamite and the ferry open up most of the rest.
The bridge ($100) opens the Safari and its shops, dynamite opens the Taiga, and a $400 ferry takes you to the Tropics. Every one of the 13 regions below has trees you can cut, and Sinister Wood and Spooky Wood turn up anywhere in October.

Every region
| Region | Where | Getting in | Wood |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main BiomeShops: Wood R Us, the Land Store, the Wood Dropoff | Where you spawn, in the middle of the map. | You start here. | Blue Spruce Wood, Cherry Wood, Oak Wood, Elm Wood |
| Cherry Meadow | A walled-in corner of the Main Biome, between the Taiga and Mountainside entrances. | Walk or drive in through the gap in its cliffs. | Cherry Wood, Oak Wood, Elm Wood |
| Mountainside | West of the Main Biome. | Follow the beige gravel road; it climbs toward the Volcano. | Birch Wood, Oak Wood |
| Volcano | At the top of the Mountainside road. | Drive up the gravel road. The heat inside wears your health down, so be quick at the peak. | Volcano Wood |
| Swamp | North-west of the Main Biome. | From the Safari with a long plank up the mountain passage, or from the Mountainside by blowing the Rock Bridge down with dynamite. | Gold Wood, Zombie Wood |
| SafariShops: Bob's Shack, Boxed Cars, Fancy Furnishings | North of the Main Biome, across the river. | Pay $100 to lower the bridge. | Cherry Wood, Walnut Wood, Elm Wood |
| Taiga | South-east of the Main Biome, beside the Cherry Meadow. | Buy dynamite at Bob's Shack and blow up the boulders blocking the road in. | Blue Spruce Wood, Fir Wood, Pine Wood |
| Taiga Peak | At the top of the Taiga's mountain path. | Drive the narrow path up from the Taiga; a small car makes it easier. | Frost Wood |
| TropicsShops: Link's Logic, the Fine Arts Shop (inside the Maze) | Across the ocean, in the far east. | Buy a one-way ferry ticket for $400 in the Main Biome. | Koa Wood, Birch Wood, Elm Wood |
| Sand Islands | Three small islands out in the ocean. | There is no intended way in. Players reach them only with glitches, and even those are hard to pull off. | Palm Wood |
| Cavecrawler Cavern | Deep in the Maze in the Tropics. | Through the Maze. Seven black walls in it can block some or all of the paths, and how many are up changes every four real days. | Cavecrawler Wood |
| River Tunnel | Near the bridge, under the Swamp. | Drive along the sand banks in the river, stopping on each to get your health back. | Snowglow Wood |
| Lone Cave | Under the bridge. | Only with an ostrich eye in the bridge booth. | Phantom Wood |
What each wood sells for is on the wood table; the rare ones have their own guides for Frost Wood and Phantom Wood.
More about some regions
- Main Biome
- All nine land plots are here, and so is the dock for the ferry to the Tropics.
- Taiga
- The Den, where the Rukiryaxe comes from, is under the snow here, and the Lost Cave is in the cliffs by the entrance.
- Tropics
- The Maze starts on its south side. Its tunnels lead to the Cavecrawler Cavern, to the Fine Arts Shop, the only shop underground, and to an exit hole up into the Safari. It is dark inside, so bring a Work Light or use your headlights (L).
- The Maze
- Seven black walls inside it can block some or all of its paths, and how many are up changes every four real days. That is why a map of it from last week can lead you into a wall.
Hidden places
Beyond the regions there are three caves worth knowing: the Lost Cave in the cliffs by the Taiga, with the Skeleton and the Strange Man; the Den under the Taiga snow; and the Lone Cave under the bridge.
