How to save in Lumber Tycoon 2

Menu, then Load, then pick a slot and save.

You need at least one plot of land. Press Menu at the top of the screen, open the Load tab and choose one of the six slots. An empty slot offers Save slot; a used one lets you overwrite it with your base as it is now, or reload it as it was last saved.

Step by step

  1. Buy your first plot of land if you have not yet: a save needs land to sit on.
  2. Press the white Menu box at the top centre of the screen.
  3. Open Load, at the top left of the menu.
  4. Pick a slot. Each shows its number, when it was last saved and its data size, or “no save” if it is empty.
  5. Press Save slot, or choose to overwrite the slot with what you have now.

You only need to do this once per slot. After the first save the game keeps saving that slot on its own as you play, and loading the slot again picks up from its last save.

What goes into a slot

Only what is on your land. Items and structures sitting anywhere else on the map when you save or reload are left out, so drive your truck home and unload it first. The data size on each slot is how much is stored in it; a bigger slot takes longer to load and can make the server lag for a moment while it does.

You cannot delete a slot. To start one over, begin again with your first plot of land and overwrite the slot with that.

Keep a save safe

  • Do not leave the game while a slot is loading, unloading or reloading. A disconnect at that moment can reset or erase the slot.
  • Anything tied to a slot stays with that slot. During The Hunt, for instance, the Skeleton’s permission to open Purple Bags counted only on the slot you asked on.

If a slot was wiped

Do not save anything to it. The game’s developer runs a restore request form for slots lost to a glitch or an exploit, and it can only bring a slot back if nothing has been saved over it since.

Next: which wood to fill that base with, and the axe to cut it with. Apart from buying it with Robux, money comes from selling what you cut: the game has no codes that hand out cash.
