How to get the Rukiryaxe

Buy three items, take them to the Den, feed them to the three men at the table.

A Bag of Sand, a Lightbulb and a Can of Worms cost $7,400 together. With the dynamite and the bridge toll the trip needs, the whole run is $7,720. The axe drops from the ceiling as soon as the last item is on its plate.

Skip the toll if you own the Super Bridge gamepass. Buy the items last, once you have the money for all three: they are only useful together.

Finding the Den

The Den is under the Taiga, behind a metal trapdoor buried in the snow. Look for a faint red eagle on the rock wall beside it, then move your cursor over the snow until the open prompt appears, or dip your camera under the snow to see the hatch. Press E and it opens for a few seconds; throw all three items down before it shuts, and open it again if it closes on you.

Unbox each item and set it on the plate in front of the right man. The posters around Lumberland spell it out if you forget: the one about Rukiryo says he eats light bulbs, and the others say the same of sand and worms.

When the axe comes down

A choir plays, the three items disappear and the Rukiryaxe lowers through a hole in the ceiling onto the table. It belongs to nobody until someone picks it up, so grab it yourself if other players are in the Den with you.

Is it worth $7,720?

It is the best general axe the game still hands out. It deals 1.68 a swing every 0.4s for 4.2 damage per second, about 1.26 times the Silver Axe, the best one Wood R Us sells. Only The Many Axe and the Glorbaxe are faster on ordinary wood, and neither can be earned now. Its short swing also makes it quicker than The Many Axe on thin, soft pieces.

It cannot cut Phantom Wood. For that, run the same quest on Halloween: the Den hands out the End Times Axe instead. Every axe side by side is on the axe table.
